August 6, 2022: National MPS Society Walk and Roll 5K Run and 1-Mile Family Walk

The National MPS Society hosted the Walk and Roll Run as a part of the 36th Annual Family Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 6th. With a course running through the heart of Centennial Park, this run saw a total of 300+ registrants who helped the Society raise over $20,000! Snow cones, cotton candy, an obstacle course, and more fun activities made the lunch following the race extra special– even Spiderman attended! June 11, 2022: Million Dollar Bike Ride

The Penn Medicine Orphan Disease Center (ODC) hosted the 9th Annual Million Dollar Bike Ride on Saturday, June 11 in Philadelphia. The Ride typically brings over 750 cyclists and volunteers to Penn’s campus to ride either 13, 34, or 72 miles. In eight years, the MDBR’s 30+ teams have raised over $14 million to fund research grants on the diseases they represent. All funds raised through Million Dollar Bike Ride, up to $30,000, were matched dollar for dollar through the Orphan Disease Center and dedicated to rare disease research.

The National MPS Society and Team MPS raised over $30,000 for the 2022 Million Dollar Bike Ride. Thank you for your support! Click here to view the photo gallery from the event.

May 1, 2022: Napa Race for a Cure

The MPS Napa race for a Cure was held May 1st at Kennedy Park in Napa, California. The timed and chipped 5K Run and 1-Mile Family Walk had over 550 registrants who helped raise awareness and funds for MPS and ML, both in person and virtually. After the run attendees enjoyed a picnic lunch as well as a photo booth, caricature artist and raffle.

We were able to raise over $44,000 with the help of our attendees, sponsors and donors. Thank you to all who worked to make this event so successful! Click here to view the photo gallery from the event.

March 26, 2022: Raleigh Run for Rare

October 29 – November 6, 2021: The Big Bake for MPS and ML

The second annual Big Bake for MPS and ML Research was a huge success!

Families took advantage of this unique time at home to raise awareness and funds for MPS and ML. They came together with family to create treats from their favorite recipes, and shared them with friends and neighbors! The event began with a cooking class hosted by Dr. Matthew Ellinwood on Facebook Live.

The Big Bake for MPS and ML Research raised $16,000. Look for this event next fall!
