Providing financial assistance, educational opportunities, and community connections to empower families affected by MPS and ML.

Support Programs Overview

Each of the following programs is designed to address specific needs within the MPS and ML community.

Provides scholarships for post-secondary education to individuals with MPS or ML, their siblings, parents, and children.​

Scholarships are awarded for full-time attendance at $1,000 each, or $500 for part-time attendance.

The Jeffrey Bardsley Scholarship awards up to $5,000 to an individual with MPS or ML.

Grants up to $1,000 for individuals aged 13 and up with MPS or ML to participate in life-enriching experiences.​

Offers grants up to $3,000 for specialized equipment or medical aids not covered by insurance, with a required 10% family copay.

Requires a medical order and insurance denial.

Provides scholarships to assist families and individuals in attending the annual family conference, covering costs such as hotel, registration, and travel.​

Prioritized for newly diagnosed families and those attending their first conference.

Grants up to $500 to help families purchase items that make daily life easier, covering up to 40% of the purchase price.​

Reimburses up to $550 per year for travel expenses related to out-of-town, non-recurring medical appointments more than 125 miles from home.​

Provides grants up to $750 per year to support regional family social events, fostering community connections.​

This program provides compassionate financial assistance to families who have lost a loved one with MPS or ML. Eligible applicants include parents or legal guardians, spouses, or adult children of the individual. All requests are reviewed confidentially by the Family Support Committee, with funding dependent on availability.
