Christopher Wright

He would say, ‘I’m the oldest living Morquio’s bearer.’ His name, Christopher, meant ‘Christ-bearer’ and indeed he was with the pain and suffering from his cross, the disease, all his life. His dying was excruciating and prolonged because he developed bone cancer too late to be able to do anything about it..

My elder brother, Christopher. Of the four children born in our family, two of us had/have Morquio’s. A photographer, guitar player, and scholar. He is survived by his 7 children. Rest in peace, bro, free at last from pain.
