Mia was a force to be reckoned with. She was happiest with friends, animals, and her DVD player.
Mia was born only a week early, but went to NICU right after birth due to respiratory issues. She never hit milestones on time and was diagnosed with Sever MR. At age 4 she was diagnosed with MPS III C. She was not a happy baby/toddler, but grew into such a funny teenager. She made everyone love her. She blew past all our expectations and learned to talk, read, write, potty train, and so much more. She developed diabetes as a teenager, but did pretty well, even with chronic renal insufficiency. Mia passed away at age 19. She did everything on her own terms, and that included death. She waited until two days after Daddy came home from a deployment with the USAF. I will forever be thankful for her timing.
